So typically I just make a page and let it speak for itself, but this time I'd like to go a bit more into detail on a page I wrote. The page I'm speaking of is the Characters from 01011001 page, of course.
This page was a lot of work to do. Since the Forever are mostly a hive-mind, and many of the songs have many characters woven into them, it was quite difficult to distill individual character aspects from the songs.
The easiest character to do was Jorn Lande's character, Forever (bird). His character is very vocal, easy to recognise, and has a strong opinion on most things. I like this actually, since Jorn is my favorite metal singer, so I liked that I could talk about his character a bit more.
Bob Catley's Forever (windmill) was also easily discernible, he's usually the Wise Old Man in the projects he's in, and that also comes back in this album somewhat. He has a lot of solo verses, and a few songs in which he's one of two singers. This gave me quite a bit of material to work with.
Other singers, mostly the men, were hard, since they only had a few solo verses, some contradictory to each other.
Magali Luyten was effectively impossible to describe individually, since she only does choruses. Floor Jansen also had disappointingly few lines.
I took the pictures from youtube videos which use the album booklet art, the youtube user's name is Taycott, and Arjen personally commented on one of his videos and gave his approval, so I'm thinking me using the material in such a way is okay by extention.
For now, this is definitely the article with most pictures. Too bad the lay-out gets messed-up after editing, I'm going to need to fix that eventually.
